Searches and selects points based on their codes, attributes or macros. All visible and used files in the element list are searched. If the mask is on, only masked points are searched. Search can be cancelled by pressing the Esc-key.
Search condition contains one or more attribute match rules. Each one of them contains attribute id, comparison operator and one or more values. For example, rule T3=121 matches all points whose code field T3 value is 121. More values can be given by separating them with comma (T3=121,123,124) or using numeric range with dash (T3=121-124). Several rules can be combined with semicolon (T1=1;T3=121). See search rules for more information.
If object is pointed with the Alt-key while the dialog is open, its code is copied to the search field. If object is pointed with both Alt and Shift keys, its code is appended to search field with separating comma. Method Nearest point gets code from the nearest point and method Mouse gets code from the nearest line.
Topmost field contains search condition. Browse button opens code file code list for code selection. If the text tab is active, code file font list is opened instead. If the last character of search condition is comma or dash, new code is appended to the condition. Otherwise new code replaces existing condition.
Search condition field remembers last ten executed searchs. With the shortcut key Ctrl-Shift-F most recent search can be executed again without this dialog.
Three fields below search condition are used for attributes T1, T2 and T4 by default. Any value in these fields search that attribute. For example, value 9 in the field T1 creates search rule T1=9. Values in multiple fields are combined with semicolon (T2=1;T4=2). Browse button with the Alt-key can be used to select some other attibute to the field.
