Creating slope lines using start line and end line.
Select first Line1, which is the start line. Select then Line 2, which is the end line. You can use methods Mouse, Closest line and Break line. Default method is Break line, if you have set Auto option On in Method.
Defines which line you are selecting. If you use method Break line, Line2 will be set on as soon you have selected Line1.
Distance between the slope lines.
Slope line length and slope, when end line is not given. With end line the length is maximum length of slope line.
You may define the line lengths with two ways:
- Factor value (0.0 - 1.0). E.g. 0.2 would be 1/5 of the distance between lines 1 and 2. 1.0 would be all the way from line 1 to line 2. If Line 2 is not given, 10 meters wil be used as default value.
- Metric value (negative). The slope lines will stop to line 2, if it is defined.
Feature code for the new slope lines.
By default slope line direction is ortogonal to the start line. If the end line is straighter, result is usually better when it is used for direction. It is then used for slope line interval also.
To save the new slope lines. Surface code (T1-field) for the lines is always 9. Slope lines get interpolated heihgt from start end end lines.
If you try to exit this function without saving the last slope lines, you’ll get a warning.
To clear both lines. Select Shift-Reset to clear only the active line.
To remove point from the active line. Even if you were using method Break line, only the last point will be removed, not the whole line.
Select Show to see the new slope lines in screen. You may change the parameters and see how the lines look without saving the new lines. Lines are saved only with Save-command.
There are some special settings related to this function.
1 adjust odd length, adjusting Interval to get a short or long line at the end point of line1.
2 adjust even length (default), adjusting Interval to get always a long line at the end point of line1.
4 store reference line 1, save also Line1.
8 store reference line 2, save also Line2.
