Server connection

Server connection is for reading data from a non-SQL-database through a common directory. 3D-Win will generate a SII-file with search criteria into a specific directory and the server scans this file. Server reads data from the database and writes it in an output file with predefined format.

3D-Win scans for this output file and then reads it in using the same predefined format.

The search criteria is a system/database specific file. Coordinate limits are appended to this file according to user selection. Predefined output file format can be freely selected and is dependent to the database used. Currently Fingis and Xcity/Xpipe connections are used.

You may define several different connections and select one as active connection from the list.

Do it

Start the operation. If there already is a file, you’ll get a warning. Existing files can be deleted after confirmation. If the output file is empty, you’ll get a warning.

SII-file includes the search criteria. The first line defines the transfer file name. Special setting Flag has 2 as default value. You still need to have the first line in SII-file even as empty line. If you set Flag=4, SII-file can have only search criterias.
