Road construction parameters

The road construction parameters are stored in the same RG-file as horizontal and vertical alignment.

You can use several parameter lists. The main list defines the main road and common parameters for the whole cross section. Other parameter lists define parallel roadways or canals.

You can calculate cross sections for surface 11 using terrain model or break lines and read it together with ground and/or rock surface. This 11-surface will be continued using given parameters to define ditch, slope and possible terraces.

Parameters

List shows the parameters in use. An abbreviation, possible section interval where the parameter is used and value for the start and end section are displayed. The whole name for the parameter is shown in the bottom line.

Calculate

To recalculate the cross sections according the given parameters. Current cross sections will be deleted and a new copy from the main window element list is made. The new cross sections will be added into this new copy.

By selecting Shift-Calculate, only the cross section in screen will be calculated.

Undo

Undo previous editing. Valid for 50 operations.

Add

To Add a new parameter after the current active line. With the Shift-key makes copy of the active parameter.

Edit

To edit active parameter. With the Shift-key turns the parameter on or off from calculation. Works also from the list line double click.

Delete

To delete selected line. By selecting Shift-Delete, the whole list is deleted.

Up, Down

To move selected line Up or Down in the list. The parameters are used in the same order they are defined in the list. For every parameter the last available value is used. It a good practice to keep the common parameters in the beginning of the list and the parameters for individual sections later in the list.

Import, Export

To import or export the parameters in a PRO-file. With this export file you can test your cross section designs and reuse them in different projects.

Other

Opens other roadway or canal parameter list handling.
