Save file

With the Save functions one or more files can be saved in 3D format. If files are to be saved in another format, use format converter in File/Formats-menu.

These function save always the whole file. Pick point group function allows saving selected points from group.

Save active

Files can be saved either with Save active or Save as in 3D-format. If files are to be saved in another format, use format converters in File/Formats-menu.

If the file is named, no prompt will be given, and the program saves the file with the existing name. If the file in question already exists on the disk, the new file will overwrite the old file without verification. This is the usual Windows procedure.

If the file has no full path or is Untitled or the name includes wildcards (? or *), the file name is asked for, in the same way as the function Save as.

Save as

Saves the active element in 3D-format. Name is verified by asking. Program offers, as an assumption, the file’s current name and directory.

Except with raster pictures, this function uses always 3D-format. From Save-dialog’s type selection, you can only select which file names to show.

Because there is no 3D raster format, this function is for raster pictures same as Write using format.

Save selected

Saves selected files from the element list.

If some file has no full path or is Untitled or the name includes wildcards (? or *) or it was read using different format, the file name is asked for, in the same way as the function Save as.

With Alt-key pressed, this saves also non-modified files.

Save all

Saves all the modified files in 3D-format with same names.

If some file has no full path or is Untitled or the name includes wildcards (? or *) or it was read using different format, the file name is asked for, in the same way as the function Save as.

With Alt-key pressed, this saves also non-modified files.
